In this video Matt Clarke with Switched On Global shares a perspective on courage and courageousness.
Hi, I'm Matt Clarke from Switched On Global.
I'd like to take a moment to share a perspective on courage and courageousness and the three things that constitute courage.
First one is the need for commitment, as in an absolute conviction that we are going to be doing what we're doing.
Secondly is an element of doubt. There is doubt for sure in courage.
And lastly, a focus on action as in we are going to do it. It's absolutely going to happen.
All these three elements are what constitute courage or being courageous, and they are necessary. In other words, if we took out doubt and we just seek commitment and action, there is no courageousness.
Inherent in courage is doubt. So know that it exists as a natural part of the phenomenon.
Courage always feels good after you've done it, but at the time, it feels horrific.
So keep breathing, keep going, know what's part of the process, and it will see through to the other end if you do keep going long enough.
